EUROPE: OUR NATURAL MARKET AND MAIN CUSTOMER

On September 22, the sixth day of the cycle of practical workshops to help internationalization was held ALCOBENDAS POR EL MUNDO, organized jointly by the Alcobendas City Council and ACOCEX.

Miguel Ángel Martín Martín The workshop started with a presentation of the different Europes (EU of 28, free trade associations and non-EU countries) emphasizing that the EU is our “local” market. Then Juan Ramón Suárez Terol demonstrated with real cases that betting on quality and differentiation can be a successful international strategy regardless of the size of the company, in the face of the dangerous strategy of competing on price. Guillermo Moreno presented the great opportunities that the Czech Republic and Slovakia offer as a center for international expansion throughout Central Europe, and José David Pérez shared the guidelines to follow to successfully negotiate in a market as interesting as Romanian. By last, David Parejo Live from his offices in London, he told us about Brexit from the point of view of the United Kingdom, encouraging companies to continue betting on this large market that is also a bridge to other international markets in the Commonwealth.

The workshop ended with a very lively and participatory round table and was led by Katia Martínez Garbaye, Delegate of ACOCEX in the Community of Madrid.
